The tradion of the Golf game in Florence date back to 1899 when the firs golf club of the city was founded in the Cascine park, this course was later abandoned. Today a golf practice area, is in its place, just at the end of the historical center of Florence.

The Ugolino Golf Club, founded in 1933, is the oldest golf club still open in Florence. This Club is considered one of the most suggestive natural courses of the world, the fame is due to the good level of difficults, diffences in levels, handicaps, small and well defended greens and due to the position, over the beginning hills of Chianti, that gave it a charming and unique atmosphere.
